OPERATIONAL MANUAL - DO IT YOURSELF KIT

The Horticulture Department, Tamil Nadu Government issues Do it Yourself Kit to general public along with Operational Manual, which is in Tamil & English. Click here to view Operational Manual

New Terrace Gardeners, who do not want all the items in the Kit issued by the department, can purchase the required items mentioned in the manual from the open market and make the grow bags themself as per their requriement.

      I got he terrace garden kit frothe Tiruvanmayur depot at a subsidised rate of Rs. 1300/-. It is worth it except compost, vermi compost and Neem cake everything is very comprehensive. Booklet is very useful. Terrace garden has come out very nicely. Within forty days vendaikai and kothavarai are flowering agovindarajan@hotmail.com

    Sir,

    I got the kit yesterday. Can you tell me the steps to follow like quantity of compost, bio-fertilizer and bio-fungicide mixture which are not mentioned in manual.Do I need to put a handful in each grow bag? can I also add soil to it..Can you tell me the ratio of cocopeat:manure:soil ratio.

    JAYA VIRUKSHA - Green at home Starter kit - To Grow Vegetables organically at your home on the Terrace or in the Balcony for Rs 110/-per unit
    The kit contains Grow bag (LDPE polythene bag 24x24x40 ) filled with Coir compost and Organic compost and also provide seed or sampling based on your need .
